One Pi coin was worth about $0.083 on 7 October 2026, according to CoinGecko. That makes 100 PI roughly $8.30 and 1,000 PI roughly $83. The converter below runs on live data, so trust it over any number printed on this page, including ours.

Before you start multiplying, one warning. A PI to USD rate is a quote, not a promise. It tells you where the last trades happened on a few exchanges. It does not tell you what you will receive if you try to sell today, and for a thinly traded coin like Pi that gap matters more than usual.

Type an amount, pick a currency, and read the result as a ceiling for a small order, not a payout. The sections below explain where the rate comes from and which costs sit between the quote and your bank balance.

Where a PI/USD rate actually comes from

Pi has no official price. Nobody at the Pi Core Team sets one. The number you see is the output of ordinary supply and demand on exchanges, where buyers post bids and sellers post asks. When a bid and an ask match, a trade prints, and that price becomes the latest price for that market.

Aggregators then do their own arithmetic. CoinGecko collects the trading pairs for PI (PI/USDT on OKX, Gate, Bitget and others, plus PI/USD and PI/EUR on Kraken, and PI/EUR and PI/TRY on OKX) and blends them, weighted by volume, into a single headline price. CoinMarketCap does the same with its own venue list and weights. This is why the two sites rarely agree to the last digit. On 7 October 2026 they even disagreed on rank (#81 versus #67) and on the “total supply” figure, though both showed circulating supply near 11.24 billion PI.

Most PI volume is against USDT, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, not against real dollars. So when a site says “PI to USD”, it is usually showing PI/USDT and assuming one USDT is one dollar. That is a fair shortcut most of the time. It is still an assumption, and it means a US-dollar bank payout needs one more conversion step.

Why you will see three prices for the same coin

Open three tabs and you will probably see three numbers. Part of that is timing. Part of it is structure.

Each exchange keeps its own order book. If a seller dumps PI on Gate, the Gate price dips for a moment before arbitrage traders on other venues close the gap. For liquid coins that gap closes in seconds. For Pi it can linger, because daily volume is small. CoinGecko reported about $7.5 million in 24-hour volume on 7 October 2026 against a market cap of roughly $0.94 billion, under 1%. Bitcoin, by comparison, trades tens of billions of dollars a day, thousands of times more than Pi, so one large order barely moves its price.

Then there is the spread, the difference between the best bid and best ask. A tight spread means you can buy and sell at nearly the same price. A wide one means you lose a slice just by crossing it. Market (instant) orders always cross the spread. Limit orders let you wait for your price but may not fill.

A quick sanity test

If one exchange shows PI more than a few percent away from the CoinGecko headline price, do not assume you found a bargain. Check that venue’s 24-hour volume and whether deposits and withdrawals are open. A cheap price you cannot withdraw from is not cheap.

The full picture of what drives the price (unlocks, KYC news, listings, Bitcoin’s mood) lives on the Pi coin price page. Here we stay on the arithmetic.

Worked examples: 100 PI and 1,000 PI

Take the 7 October 2026 snapshot of $0.083 per PI and convert it with approximate rates from CoinGecko’s exchange-rate feed (same day, rounded). Treat every figure as an estimate: foreign-exchange rates move daily, and so does PI.

AmountUSDEURGBPINRNGNPKRTRYPHP
1 PI0.0830.0740.0638.0110234.15.2
100 PI8.307.406.3080011,0002,300410520
1,000 PI8374638,000110,00023,0004,1005,200

If you are wondering how that works for any amount, the formula is boring: PI amount × USD price × the FX rate of your currency. Everything else is friction. A fee of even a couple of dollars is a big bite out of an $8 sale, which is the practical reason small balances are often not worth the trouble of moving. At 1,000 PI the math starts to make sense; at 20 PI it usually does not.

The reverse question, “how many PI do we need to reach X dollars”, is the same formula run backwards. To reach $100 at today’s quote you would need about 1,200 PI. To reach $1,000, about 12,000. Notice how that scales: Pi moving from $0.083 to $1 would multiply every figure above by roughly twelve, and the market cap would have to rise from about $0.94 billion to about $11 billion at current circulating supply. Whether that is plausible is a question for the price prediction page, not a converter.

Your currency, one country at a time

The conversion math is the same everywhere. What changes is whether you can actually reach a venue, and what your local rules say. We only include facts we could verify, and we say when we could not.

India (INR)

At the snapshot, 1 PI is about ₹8, so 1,000 PI is about ₹8,000. Holding and trading crypto is legal in India, it is not legal tender, and gains are taxed heavily (a flat 30% on gains plus a TDS deduction on transfers; confirm the current TDS rate on the Income Tax portal before you act). Exchanges serving Indian users are expected to register with FIU-IND. We could not confirm that any Indian-registered exchange offers PI spot trading, so many Indian users go through an international venue and a stablecoin. The Pi coin in India guide covers the details; the rupee converter is below.

Nigeria (NGN) and Pakistan (PKR)

At the snapshot, 1,000 PI is roughly ₦110,000 or ₨23,000. We did not find a verified local-currency PI market for either country, so a naira or rupee figure from a converter is exactly that: arithmetic on the USD price. In practice, users in both countries usually sell PI for USDT on an international exchange and then convert the stablecoin locally. That second step is where the real rate and the real risk live, because local peer-to-peer rates can differ noticeably from the official FX rate. CEX.IO publishes a Pakistan-specific page for its Pi IOU product, but that is a different asset from open-network PI (more on that in the IOU explainer).

Turkey (TRY)

Turkey is one of the few places with a native pair. OKX lists PI/TRY according to CoinGecko’s ticker data (the separate OKX TR announcement we found covers PI/USDT only). At the snapshot, 1,000 PI is about 4,100 lira. Turkish law since July 2024 requires crypto service providers to hold an SPK licence, and the SPK publishes its list of authorised firms, so check any local platform against it.

Philippines (PHP), euro area (EUR), UK (GBP)

At the snapshot, 1,000 PI is roughly ₱5,200, €74 or £63. Euro users have the cleanest route: both Kraken (PI/EUR) and OKX (PI/EUR) list a euro pair, which avoids a stablecoin detour, and MiCA licensing gives you a register to check venues against. In the UK, at least one major venue, Gate, says UK users are restricted, so check availability before you open an account. For the Philippines we found no verified local venue or regulator statement specific to PI, so we will not guess.

USA (USD)

Kraken offers a PI/USD pair (live from 13 March 2026, with geographic limits), though its dollar volume is tiny compared with USDT markets on other venues. A report in May 2026 said OKX opened PI access to US users, but we could only confirm that through a third-party source. The Pi coin in the USA page goes into availability and tax.

“But the app says Pi is worth much more”

You may have seen social posts claiming a Pi coin has some “internal” or “consensus” value in the hundreds or thousands of dollars. We could not find any such figure in Pi’s own FAQ or blog, and it does not matter either way. A price only exists where someone will actually pay it. For PI, that is the open-market quote, currently far below the 2025 peak of $2.99 reached on 26 February 2025.

The related trap is the IOU quote. Before the open network launched on 20 February 2025, some platforms traded “Pi IOUs”, which were claims on future tokens, at prices that often looked very different from today’s. Old IOU charts still circulate and still confuse people. If a page shows a Pi price in the hundreds of dollars, it is either an IOU, a fantasy, or a scam. Our IOU page explains how to tell them apart.

The costs between the quote and your bank account

Selling Pi is a chain, and each link costs something. Moving PI from the Pi Wallet to an exchange usually needs KYC and migration to be complete first, and a transfer needs a memo or a correct address. Then comes the trading fee, the spread, possible slippage on larger orders, a stablecoin-to-fiat conversion, and a withdrawal fee. We will not quote fee percentages for specific venues, because they change and we could not verify them all. Read the fee page of the exchange you pick, and run a small test first.

  • Check the order book depth before selling more than a few hundred dollars worth. Thin books move against you.
  • Use a limit order near the bid rather than a market order, so you control the worst price you accept.
  • Count the withdrawal fee in the same currency as your sale, because a fixed fee hurts small sales more.
Tax is part of the price

In most countries, selling crypto for more than you acquired it for is a taxable event. Mined Pi can also count as income at the time you receive it in some jurisdictions. A converter shows gross value, not what you keep. Keep records of when you sold and at what quote, and ask a tax professional where the rules are unclear.

How to check the rate yourself

Do not rely on any single site, including this one. Open CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap, compare the headline price, then open the exchange you plan to use and read its own PI/USDT or PI/USD price and order book. If the three are close and volume looks normal, the quote is probably honest. If one is far off, find out why before you move any coins.

When you are ready to turn PI into cash, the how to sell Pi coin guide walks through the transfer, the sale and the withdrawal. If you are still deciding where to trade, the exchange comparison lays out what each venue offers. And if you hold Pi but are not sure it can move yet, start with Pi mainnet and KYC.

Frequently asked questions

How much is 1 Pi coin in USD?
On 7 October 2026, CoinGecko showed roughly $0.083 per PI, with a market cap near $0.94 billion. That is a market quote, not a guaranteed sale price. Use the live converter above for the current number, and expect your real payout to differ by the spread and fees. See the Pi price page for context.
How do we convert Pi to USD?
You need an exchange that lists PI against USD or a stablecoin such as USDT. You move your Pi there (after KYC and migration), sell it, and withdraw the proceeds. The converter only shows an estimate. The steps are in the how to sell Pi coin guide.
Why is the Pi price different on every website?
PI trades on many separate order books with thin volume, so each venue has its own price. Aggregators such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap also weight venues differently and even disagree on rank and supply. Small gaps are normal. A large gap on one venue is a warning sign about liquidity.
Is the Pi to USD rate the same as the Pi IOU price?
No. An IOU is a claim traded before real tokens could move, and it can carry different terms and risk. Quotes labeled IOU should never be mixed with open-network PI quotes. Read what a Pi IOU is before you trust any such price.
How much is 1,000 Pi coin worth in dollars?
At the 7 October 2026 snapshot of about $0.083, 1,000 PI is about $83 on paper. After a bid-ask spread, trading fees and withdrawal costs, you would receive somewhat less. Thin volume can make larger orders fill at worse prices, so check the order book before selling.
Can we convert Pi to Indian rupees or Nigerian naira directly?
The converter handles the math at the current FX rate. Actually receiving rupees or naira depends on which venue you use and whether it supports your country and a local payout. Many users sell for USDT first, then cash out through a regulated local route. See the India guide for the rupee side.
